Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is coming to consoles on September 29

Prime Matter and developer Owlcat Games have announced a release date for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous on console for the second time. This time the game is expected to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch (Cloud Version) on September 29. Initially, the role-playing title had to reach the consoles at the end of 2021, then its landing was set for March 1, 2022. In addition, today the third downloadable content for PC has been discovered, where the game is for sale from 2021.

When Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous arrives on consoles, it will be offered as the Enhanced Edition version, which will become the standard version from then on. On PC the deal will be the same. Players who already own a copy of the title on Steam, GOG, or the Epic Games Store will be able to upgrade to the Enhanced Edition on September 8 for free. Owlcat Games has revealed the existence of this enhanced edition, but hasn’t detailed what content it will contain, so we’ll have to wait for the patch notes.

In addition to the console announcement, Owlcat Games has confirmed that Treasure of the Midnight Isles, the third DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous included in the Season Pass, will be released on August 11. This expansion adds a new roguelike mode “partially integrated into the main campaign” that will lead players to a lost whirlpool among the Midnight Isles. In its waters you will find a large dungeon whose levels are generated randomly.

Like all other Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous add-on content, The Treasure of the Midnight Isles will be available for purchase separately.

For those who don’t know, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a classic role-playing game with real-time paused or turn-based combat. The title allows you to create a character by choosing between 25 classes and 12 races, which must be combined with a series of spells, feats and abilities that allow you to create your own style of play. The campaign is set in a world that is connected by a rift to the Abyss, a land of corruption that nations have been fighting for centuries. The conflict must end.
